Alape

For over a year Heine/Lenz/Zizka has been in charge of all design disciplines for the brand Alape, the premium provider of washbasins and sinks from Goslar.

After an extensive strategy and identity process we started with different cross-media communications such as defining the visual style, designing the main catalog A˘form and other brochures, creating the booth at the international trade fair ISH and various films.

We are delighted with this extremely valuable collaboration.

CORPORATE FILM

Alape manufactures with exceptional craftsmanship washbasins and sinks made of glazed steel. The company’s skills in processing this particular material render the unique shape and flexibility of its design possible. The main ambition behind the corporate films was to communicate this expertise for the first time.

In addition to the insight into the manufacturing process two more substantive levels characterize the corporate film: situational, atmospheric scenes of use and the filigree character of the finished product.

The music picks up the contradictory levels of the film by contrasting harmonious ambient music with original sounds from the industrial production.

BOOTH AT ISH

The confident demonstration of their own strengths, the uniqueness of steel and the extended product range defined the presence at ISH, the world's leading trade fair for bathrooms, energy and air conditioning.

The constant search for the unity of form, function and material is visualized structurally with the spectacular eye-catcher at the center of the booth.

The special properties of the material - precision, lightness and the filigree character - were transferred into the design to give the presentation an appearance of floating. Warm materials made of glazed steel, solid wood, copper and raw steel plates dominated the overall impression.

Heine/Lenz/Zizka has created the strategic concept and the guiding idea »shaping surfaces« for the new washbasin surfaces "Terra", "Aqua" and "Metallic": Conceived as an ode to nature's subtle nuances, the shaping surfaces unite style with substance, precision with poetry, purity with personality.
