Stadtmuseum Oldenburg
Museum finds city

How does a city museum stay in people's minds during the several years of closure due to new construction?

With the “Museum findet Stadt” campaign, Heine Lenz Zizka has developed a strategy for the Stadtmuseum Oldenburg (Oldenburg City Museum) that keeps the museum present everywhere in the city during this time.

As an integral part of the campaign, we are also bringing the museum's new image, also developed by Heine Lenz Zizka, into people's minds.

The language of the campaign is clear and self-confident. It dispenses with anything decorative and focuses on the power of the content. The bright orange combined with a monotype font visually creates a certain building site aesthetic to match the occasion.

A completely redesigned magazine accompanies the conversion activities and also sheds light on the work behind the scenes.

Many historical sites in the city are integrated into the campaign with the help of explanatory panels and thus become outsourced exhibits of the museum. On the microsite museum-findet-stadt.de, which is digitally linked to the locations and was also developed by us, visitors can experience in-depth content, but also keep up to date with the progress of the construction of the new museum building and current museum events.
