Ars Sacrow
Gegen den Strich
The “Gegen den Strich” exhibition at Sacrow Castle presents contemporary positions of young artists who have discovered classical art forms such as painting for themselves. "Gegen den Strich" translates to "against the grain" or "against the stroke" in English, implying a rebellious or unconventional approach. Heine Lenz Zizka was responsible for the design of the exhibition campaign and the accompanying catalog.
As part of the exhibition communication, HLZ_Modular was created as a variable font that can change seamlessly from back-slanted to italic. From against-the-stroke to with-the-stroke, so to speak, following the constant shifting of meanings in art history.

The font developed for the exhibition serves as a central communication element in the cross-media publicity campaign. Whether on social media, in print or as an on-site application: the overarching context is clearly recognizable and effectively communicated at all times.

In addition, an XPLAYNER was developed for the exhibition, a format with which content is presented as a continuous, multimedia digital narrative thread. The XPLAYNER format was developed in-house by Heine Lenz Zizka.
The exhibition catalog includes art-scientific positions and illustrations of the works on display. Heine Lenz Zizka developed the concept for the content and layout and took on the role of publisher.
