The Europäische Hansemuseum Lübeck will be ten years old in 2025.
That needs to be celebrated!

To mark the happy occasion, Heine Lenz Zizka developed a cross-media campaign based on a visual contradiction: Representative portraiture of the Hanseatic era embellished with party accessories meets a cheerful, poster-like party aesthetic.

Locally, regionally and nationally, we are using the campaign to make people curious about the museum and its birthday - and invite them to join in the celebrations. QR codes link from the media to the anniversary section of the museum website, which provides more detailed information about the activities and events.

The graphic layer of the campaign uses the dynamically diagonally rotated blue stripes of the museum's appearance as a visual link to the brand. Striking red confetti also brings the second brand color into play.

For digital out-of-home media and social media channels, we have developed short films with a matching audio track that make the contradiction between grumpy, bad-tempered historical portraits and exuberant party mood appear even more exciting and lively.

The two visual layers combined with the different headlines of the campaign enable a wide variety of media adaptations that can be varied depending on the occasion.
